
Kathmandu: Italian football legend Gianluigi Buffon has arrived in Kathmandu as a special guest for the final match of the KP Oli Cup, set to take place on Monday. The 47-year-old goalkeeper, widely recognised for his long and successful career, will be present to attend the match.
The final, which will be held at the Dashrath Stadium, will feature Tribhuvan Army Club and Machhindra Club. Buffon has been invited to the event by the host, the National Youth Association.
Buffon, who earned 176 caps for Italy, is particularly known for his role in Italy’s victory at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. His arrival adds a notable element to the KP Oli Cup final, further elevating the significance of the occasion.
