KATHMANDU: SBI Foundation, the CSR arm of the State Bank of India Group, in collaboration with Rotaract Nepal and AIESEC Nepal, is organising a series of awareness campaigns and seminars across Nepal.
The seminars, which kicked off on March 8, aim to introduce young minds to the vast opportunities within the social sector. Titled 'Careers in Impact Sector,' these seminars aim to inspire and empower youth to explore meaningful careers in the development sector and encourage them to apply for the prestigious SBI Youth for India Fellowship, now accepting applications for its 13th batch.
The seminars seek to bridge the gap between young aspiring changemakers and impactful career opportunities by introducing students to the social sector and rewarding career paths it offers, emphasising the importance of grassroots-level work in driving sustainable development. They also highlight career growth within the development sector, both in Nepal and internationally, showcasing real-world examples of individuals who have created transformative change through social initiatives. Additionally, the seminars explore social entrepreneurship as a means of addressing pressing challenges, equipping youth with insights into innovative solutions for societal betterment. The seminars will conclude on March 12.
The SBI Youth for India Fellowship, a flagship initiative of SBI Foundation, is a 13-month, paid, rural development programme that enables young professionals and graduates to work with leading NGOs across India, addressing critical issues such as education, healthcare, rural livelihood, and women's empowerment. The Fellowship provides a unique platform for individuals to gain hands-on experience in social impact work while receiving mentorship, financial support, and networking opportunities with experts in the development sector. Fresh graduates and young professionals aged 21-32 years in Nepal are invited to apply for the YFI Fellowship.
