
KATHMANDU: Global leaders are participating in Raisina Dialogue 2025, a key conference on geopolitics.
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi shared an update on Facebook, announcing Poland's participation in the event.
The Embassy stated that Secretary of State Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski is attending the Raisina Dialogue 2025, organised by the Observer Research Foundation and India's Ministry of External Affairs. The dialogue aims to bring together leaders and experts to address pressing global challenges and explore opportunities for cooperation. On the sidelines, Bartoszewski also participated in the India-NATO Public Diplomacy Dialogue, a forum organised by NATO, ORF, and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung India, focused on security and strategic affairs. This engagement underscores the growing importance of collaboration in tackling shared global concerns.
On Sunday, Slovenia's Foreign Minister, Tanja Fajon, Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, Peru's Foreign Minister, Elmer Schialer Salcedo, and the former President of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed, reached the Indian capital.
The Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, shared updates on X, stating, "More arrivals for @RaisinaDialogue 2025! Welcome to India, DPM Xavier Bettel of Luxembourg & FM Tanja Fajon of Slovenia." He also mentioned the arrival of Mohamed Nasheed and Elmer Schialer Salcedo for the conference.
In another post, Jaiswal wrote, "Greetings to our esteemed guests arriving for @RaisinaDialogue2025! FM Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa of Ghana, FM Elmer Schialer Salcedo of Peru & Former President of the Republic of Maldives @MohamedNasheed, arrive to a warm welcome in New Delhi."
Earlier on Sunday, Cuba's Deputy Prime Minister, Eduardo Martinez Diaz, and Ghana's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, also headed to New Delhi to attend the event. On Friday, Nepal's Foreign Minister, Arzu Rana Deuba, travelled to the Indian capital to participate in the conference. Jaiswal welcomed her with a post on X, saying, "Warm welcome to FM Arzu Rana Deuba of Nepal as she arrives in New Delhi for Raisina Dialogue 2025."
The Raisina Dialogue, scheduled from March 17 to 19, is India's premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, addressing critical global challenges. Hosted by the Observer Research Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, the event is supported by various institutions, organisations, and individuals committed to its mission, Indian news agency ANI reported.
In a statement, the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) highlighted, "Every year, leaders in politics, business, media, and civil society converge in New Delhi to discuss the state of the world and explore opportunities for cooperation on a wide range of contemporary matters."
The Dialogue is structured as a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral discussion, involving heads of state, cabinet ministers, and local government officials, alongside thought leaders from the private sector, media, and academia.
