
KATHMANDU: Newly elected leadership of NGO Federation of Nepal submitted a 21-point declaration to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.
The Federation passed the declaration during its 11th General Convention, and National Civil Society Conference.
A delegation, led by Federation President Arjun Bhattarai, presented the document to the prime minister at his official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu. The declaration highlights the need for policies and laws supportive of social organisations and proposes organising the Nepal Development Conference, among other initiatives.
Prime Minister Oli congratulated the new leadership on the occasion and extended his best wishes for their efforts in social transformation and development.
The federation's general convention, held in Kathmandu from March 9 to 11, elected a 51-member executive committee, with Bhattarai assuming the role of president.
