
KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, held a meeting on Thursday.
The Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday for a two-day visit to Nepal.
According to Minister Bhandari’s Secretariat, the minister expressed satisfaction with the cordial relations between the two countries, which have been maintained since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1993.
Minister Bhandari highlighted that Nepal and Moldova can collaborate in areas such as the economic sector, agriculture, tourism, renewable energy, information technology, and education by exploring new potentials for mutual cooperation.
The two leaders discussed ways to enhance business volume between the two nations.
The Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister further said that Nepal and Moldova could initiate partnerships to send Nepali migrant workers to Moldova, citing employment opportunities available for Nepali nationals in the eastern European country.
