KATHMANDU: The 10th Nepal International Trade Fair (NITF) is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from May 8 to 12. The event, organised annually by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), attracts both domestic and international participation.
This year’s fair will include exhibitors from India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. NITF 2025 will showcase a Made in Nepal Pavilion and a pavilion dedicated to commodity associations. FNCCI announced that the fair is being organised as an annual calendar event, with support from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies (MoICS), promotion from the Trade and Export Promotion Centre (TEPC), and co-organisation by the Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN).
The fair will feature over 300 stalls displaying goods and services from Nepal and abroad. Buyers from SAARC nations, China, Korea, and Japan are expected to attend. Highlights include the Made in Nepal Show, handicraft products, commodity association goods, and four-wheeled and two-wheeled electric vehicles (EVs). Separate stalls will focus on sectors such as tourism, technology, agriculture, energy, and education.
The event will also host discussions on bilateral trade promotion and investment, alongside meetings with international business representatives. Nearly 20,000 visitors, both local and international, are expected this year.
As in previous editions, the NITF 2025 will extend to provincial and district levels under FNCCI’s leadership. A statement from FNCCI confirmed that top-performing stalls from local fairs will be granted free spaces at NITF.
FNCCI believes the regular organisation of NITF will strengthen Nepal’s economy by attracting foreign investment and technology transfer, promoting Nepali products internationally, and supporting economic growth.
Free entry will be provided for senior citizens and people with disabilities, while students presenting valid ID cards will receive 50% discount. FNCCI further announced that stall bookings have officially opened.
