OPPO unveils A5 Pro with advanced durability, features

KATHMANDU: OPPO has recently introduced its latest smartphone, the A5 Pro, in Nepal. 

The device delivers exceptional durability, featuring IP69 water and dust resistance and Military-Grade Shock Resistance certification. Designed for outdoor adventures, gaming, and entertainment, it includes AI LinkBoost for reliable connectivity, AI GameBoost for seamless gaming, and a robust 5,800mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOCTM Flash Charge, capable of charging to 30% in about 19 minutes.

The A5 Pro carries forward the signature lightweight, slim design of the OPPO A Series and is available in two stylish colours: Mocha Brown and Olive Green. The Mocha Brown variant measures 7.76mm in thickness and weighs 194g, while the Olive Green version, with a vegan leather finish, measures 7.86mm thick and weighs 195g.

Engineered for resilience, the smartphone surpasses flagship durability standards. It is built to withstand water immersion, high-pressure water sprays, and dust intrusion due to advanced manufacturing processes, including silicone seals and dual-layer protection. The Splash Touch feature ensures smooth operation even on wet or oily screens, making it suitable for use in rain or wet conditions. Additionally, its upgraded double-tempered glass enhances drop resistance by 160%, and a high-strength aluminium alloy frame shields internal components.

The device excels in connectivity, incorporating a 360° Surround Antenna enhanced with AI LinkBoost to maintain strong signals even in weak-signal areas. BeaconLink allows voice calls via Bluetooth in no-signal zones, and an Outdoor Mode optimises network and CPU settings for efficient performance during outdoor tasks.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon® 6s 4G Gen1 Mobile Platform, the A5 Pro offers up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. With OPPO’s RAM Expansion feature, multitasking efficiency is further enhanced. Running on ColorOS 15 Lite and supported by OPPO’s Trinity Engine, the phone ensures long-term performance stability, certified under OPPO’s 48-month Fluency Protection programme.

The smartphone is optimised for gaming, boasting AI GameBoost for dynamic frame rate adjustments and a VC Cooling System for effective heat management. Its 1,000 nits Ultra Bright Display provides visibility in direct sunlight, while Dual Stereo speakers and Ultra Volume Mode amplify audio up to 300% for an immersive experience.

The camera system includes a 50MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera, a 2MP Portrait Camera, and an 8MP Front Camera, complemented by features such as Portrait Mode, AI Portrait Retouching, underwater photography, and Livephoto, which records 1.5 seconds before and after a shutter click. Advanced AI tools, including AI Reflection Remover and AI Clarity Enhancer, add creative options for photo editing.
