KATHMANDU: Private sector organisations have expressed serious concern over the attacks on lives and property during the protests and demonstrations in Kathmandu on Friday.
In a statement, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) condemned the violence, including arson, looting, and vandalism targeting private properties, media houses, business firms, and other commercial establishments. It called for compensation for the losses and urged all stakeholders to ensure public safety and prevent similar incidents. While recognising the constitutional right to protest, FNCCI denounced acts of violence as unacceptable.

Both FNCCI and CNI have extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished the injured a speedy recovery. They appealed to all parties to prevent the recurrence of such violence.
