BIRATNAGAR: Chamber of Industries Morang (CIM) has launched an enhanced startup and innovation programme to encourage entrepreneurship development among youth under 30, addressing the increasing migration of young people seeking employment.

Conducted in collaboration with Biratnagar Metropolitan City and Purbanchal University, the programme aims to transform young people with business ideas into successful entrepreneurs. Applications are open until April 13 via the CIM website and social media platforms.

The private sector organisation has stated that the submitted applications will be evaluated through an entrepreneurship concept presentation, with the top 15 startups to be announced on April 13. Selected participants will receive free assistance, including business plan development, technical mentorship, coaching, consultation services, and networking opportunities.

The selected startups will be mentored for three months, during which CIM will organise activities such as the Business Canvas Model, Business Health Checkups, and 'Haat-Bazaar' events to support their business development. Awards will be presented to the top three performing startups.

CIM has expressed its belief that the programme will help create a sustainable ecosystem for the promotion and development of startups, fostering youth involvement in entrepreneurship and reducing migration for employment.
