PM Oli, Thail PM Shinawatra hold meeting

BANGKOK: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is currently on an official visit to Thailand, held a meeting with his Thai counterpart, Prime Minister Paetongtran Shinawatra, today. 

The meeting took place at a government building in Thailand, where Prime Minister Shinawatra welcomed Prime Minister Oli earlier in the day.

The discussion was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Minister for Foreign Affairs Arzu Rana Deuba, Prime Minister Oli's Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic Development Advisor Yuba Raj Khatiwada, Chief Secretary Eaknarayan Aryal, and Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the two prime ministers are set to sign an agreement on collaboration in the cultural and tourism sectors. In addition, six memoranda of understanding are expected to be exchanged between non-governmental and business organisations of the two countries. Following these proceedings, the prime ministers are scheduled to hold a joint press conference.

Later in the day, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to attend a luncheon hosted by Prime Minister Shinawatra and hold a courtesy meeting with the King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn. Prime Minister Oli is expected to return to Nepal on April 5.
