The agreement focuses on cooperation in investment and trade promotion, economic and trade-related research, training and capacity building, and the exchange of information on legal and policy matters.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, CNI President Agrawal opined that the agreement would help attract Thai investment to Nepal, positioning the country as an attractive destination for foreign investors. He highlighted recent improvements in legislation aimed at facilitating investment promotion, which could be beneficial for potential investors.

CNI has continuously encouraged foreign investors to consider Nepal, emphasising its strategic location between two of the world’s largest markets, which offers substantial advantages.

The signing event was attended by the Nepali delegation, led by Prime Minister Oli, who is currently on an official visit to Thailand from April 1 to 5 to take part in the 6th Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) summit.
