KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has distributed relief materials to assist the earthquake victims in Myanmar.

FNCCI's Health and Disaster Management Committee Chairperson Bhakta Bahadur Hamal handed over the relief materials to a representative of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Hamal informed that FNCCI provided items such as rice, red split gram, kitchen utensils, mosquito nets, blood bags, blood transfusion sets, bandages, elastic adjustable bands, and paper tape.

FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal highlighted FNCCI's commitment to social responsibility, stating that the organisation has been distributing relief materials during natural disasters both domestically and internationally. Dhakal mentioned that the latest aid was delivered to support Myanmar.

A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck Myanmar on March 28, 2025, causing extensive damage. Subsequently, during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 3, a decision was made to send relief materials to the affected communities in Myanmar.
