
KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of petroleum products.
A meeting of the NOC Board of Directors on Tuesday decided to decrease the selling price of petrol, diesel, and kerosene by Rs 3 per litre, effective from Tuesday midnight.
With the revised pricing, petrol will now cost Rs 157.50 per litre in the first cluster, Rs 159 per litre in the second cluster, and Rs 160 per litre in the third cluster.
The price of diesel and kerosene has been set at Rs 143.50 per litre for the first cluster, Rs 145 per litre for the second cluster, and Rs 146 per litre for the third cluster.
The NOC has designated Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj in the first cluster, Surkhet and Dang in the second cluster, and Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal depots in the third cluster.
According to new purchase price received from Indian Oil Corporation, price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 3.15 per litre, while diesel has been lowered by Rs 2.62 per litre.
The NOC, state-owned trading enterprise responsible for the import, storage, and distribution of petroleum products, stated that fuel prices in local market have been adjusted following the revised purchase rates.
