Birgunj Customs Office reports revenue of Rs 124.70bn in 9 months

BIRGUNJ: Birgunj Customs Office has reported a total revenue collection of Rs 124.70 billion in the first nine months of current fiscal year 2024/25, indicating a steady accumulation of public revenue from customs operations.

Monthly revenue collection figures show a consistent performance. The office recorded Rs 12.15 billion in July/August (Shrawan), Rs 13.42 billion in August/September (Bhadau), and Rs 13.47 billion in September/October (Asoj). A slight decline was observed in October/November (Kartik) when revenue stood at Rs 11.10 billion, but it rebounded to Rs 14.40 billion in November/December (Mangsir).

The upward trend continued with Rs 15.47 billion collected in December/January (Poush) and Rs 14.44 billion in January/February (Magh). Revenue in February/March (Falgun) reached Rs 14.63 billion, while March/April (Chitra) recorded Rs 15.47 billion.
