KATHMANDU: vivo, a global smartphone brand, is set to launch its latest Y series device, the vivo Y29, in Nepal this month. Following the success of the vivo Y28, popularly known as the "Battery ko Badshaah", the Y29 is expected to enhance performance with a combination of style, power, and advanced innovation.
Early leaks suggest that the Y29 is more than just a smartphone—it is a bold style statement. It features a refined metallic high-gloss frame and will be available in two colour options: Noble Brown and Elegant White. The device is designed for users who value aesthetics and functionality.
At its core, the Y29 houses a 6500mAh battery, offering longer endurance than its predecessor. Combined with 44W FlashCharge, it ensures minimal charging time and maximum usability. Reports indicate that it will feature an Anti-Drop Armour Design, reinforced with Schott α glass for durability and reliability in demanding conditions.
Performance-wise, vivo is expected to equip the Y29 with the Snapdragon 685 processor and 8GB + 8GB Extended RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and an optimised user experience across applications and gaming. Smart features will also be a highlight, including AI Erase and AI Photo Enhance for photography, Gemini Assistant and Circle to Search for intelligent user interaction, AI SuperLink for uninterrupted connectivity in weak signal areas, and Screen Translation for multilingual convenience.
For entertainment, the Y29 is rumoured to include a 50MP main camera, a 120Hz refresh rate display certified by TÜV Rheinland for eye comfort, and dual stereo speakers with a 400% audio boost, offering an immersive experience for gaming, streaming, and video calls.
With anticipation building, the vivo Y29 is not just launching—it is making a statement. The throne once held by the Battery ko Badshaah is set to be reclaimed with even greater power, smarter features, and refined style.
