KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has announced that stalls from India, China, Bangladesh, and Pakistan have been booked for the Nepal International Trade Fair (NITF) 2025. The event is scheduled to be held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu from May 8 to 12. This marks the 10th edition of the annual event being organised by the FNCCI.

Buyers from SAARC nations, China, the Republic of Korea, and Japan have been invited, with businesses from India, China, Bangladesh, and Pakistan confirming their participation. A 'Made in Nepal Pavilion' will be featured alongside stalls representing various commodity associations this year, according to FNCCI. More than 300 stalls will showcase a diverse range of domestic and international products, including handicrafts, agricultural goods, electric vehicles, and tourism-related services.

FNCCI has stated that the event is being organised as part of its annual calendar with support from the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies. Promotional efforts are being led by Trade and Export Promotion Centre (TEPC), while Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN) are co-organisers for the upcoming event. Stall bookings were opened on March 24.

Beyond exhibitions, the fair aims to foster direct engagement with international buyers and investors. Meetings focused on bilateral trade and investment will be held, with business representatives from various countries expected to attend. Organisers anticipate around 20,000 visitors, both local and international, at NITF 2025.

FNCCI stated that NITF, which has gained recognition both nationally and internationally, will help attract foreign investment and technology to Nepal, promote Nepali products on the global stage, and contribute to the country’s economic growth. Free entry will be provided for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, while students will receive a 50% discount on entrance fees upon presenting their ID cards.
