Himalayan Everest Insurance win 2nd Insurance Cup Futsal tourney

KATHMANDU: Himalayan Everest Insurance secured the title of the Second Insurance Cup Futsal Tournament 2082. In the final match, Himalayan Everest Insurance defeated Himalayan Life Insurance to claim the championship.

The inter-insurance company futsal tournament was organised by Bima Dokan to mark the New Year 2082 celebrations.

A total of 11 companies, including life insurance, non-life insurance, microinsurance, and reinsurance firms, participated in the competition. The final match between Himalayan Life Insurance and Himalayan Everest Insurance was intense and exciting.

The tournament was inaugurated by Kiran Rai, General Secretary of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), who was the chief guest at the event. The two-day tournament concluded with an award ceremony on the second day, where Nirmal Adhikari, Deputy Director of the Insurance Policy Section of Nepal Insurance Authority, served as the chief guest. He distributed certificates, shields, trophies, and cash prizes to the winners.

The champions, Himalayan Everest Insurance, received medals, a shield, and a cash prize of Rs 35,000, while the runners-up, Himalayan Life Insurance, were awarded medals, a shield, and a cash prize of Rs 15,000.

The organiser, Bima Dokan, stated that the tournament was conducted under the primary slogan: "Sports for health and collaboration for insurance."
