
KATHMANDU: The budget session of the Federal Parliament is set to commence today.
Summoned by President Ramchandra Paudel at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, the session of the Federal Parliament will begin at 1:00 pm today.
The business schedule released by the Federal Parliament Secretariat states that the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Devraj Ghimire, will inform the House about the budget session summoned by the President and the reshuffle in the Cabinet.
On the first day of the House session, leaders of various political parties will be allocated time for deliberations based on their parties.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's personal secretariat has shared that the UML's parliamentary party leader and Prime Minister Oli will address the House today.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel is scheduled to table the "Alternative Development Finance Mobilisation Bill".
The Government's policies and programmes, along with the annual budget for the upcoming fiscal year, will also be presented during the session of the Federal Parliament.
