HoR passes 'Bill designed to amend Some Nepal Acts, 2081'

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives today passed the 'Bill Designed to Amend Some Nepal Acts, 2081'.

The bill, presented by the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajay Kumar Chaurasia, was unanimously approved by the Lower House. Responding to queries from lawmakers, Minister Chaurasia stated that a process has been initiated to amend 89 laws and repeal two acts, to rectify technical errors and address unintentional gaps in existing legislation.

He expressed confidence that development and construction activities would become more effective once the bill is enacted into law.

The House of Representatives is scheduled to reconvene at 3:00 pm on May 2.
