Two panels vie for NATTA leadership

KATHMANDU: Two groups are vying for leadership of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) through the election today. A panel led by Ramesh Thapa and another one led by Binay Basnyat have intensified their election campaigns for NATTA leadership. Proprietor of Moon Sun Travels and Tour, Thapa, has long been active in tourism sector while his contender Basnet, the proprietor of Koshi Tour and Travels has also a long track record of engagement in tourism enterprises sector. NATTA presidential candidate Thapa has pledged to take up a proactive role in revitalising the Covid-battered tourism sector. Likewise, candidate Basnyat has expressed his confidence that his team would discharge the role to bring in more foreign tourists to elevate the pandemic hit the tourism industry. It has been learnt that there are around 2,800 registered travel and tour companies in Nepal while NATTA has a total of 400 members. By RSS READ ALSO:
