KATHMANDU: Hult Prize at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel successfully completed the semi-final round of the “OnCampus Program”, on March 5.
In the virtual event, the invited judges from various fields and expertise selected the top six teams after going through the main pitch, presentation, question and answer, and discussions.
The six teams include Bridge Nepal, Team Sochai, On-> Employment, Team Aroma, The Bacterial Commando and Team Ecoverse.
The judges for the semi-final round included Dr Ravindra Sapkota, Executive Chairman and Scientific Director of Shikhar Biotech; Hemanta Shrestha, Phd- Founder and CEO of Numeric Minds (Wise Yak Solutions); Monika Shrestha- Consultant and Co-Founder, HG Nepal; Sajal Malla- Chief Operating Officer, Dharatee Meditech; Prajuna KC- Founder, Hivelaya; Binita Pokhrel- Founder/ CEO, Pure Joy and Binayak Paudel- Managing Director, Urja Lab.
These teams will compete in the Grand Finale on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 11:00 am onwards.
The list of judges for the grand finale event mentioned Dr Ravindra Sapkota- Executive Chairman & Scientific Director of Shikhar Biotech; Khem Lakai- Founder/ CEO, Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education; Mr Suraj Raj Pandey- Founder CEO, FIbro Nepal, Faija Parween- Founder, Open Space Nepal; Mr Adhip Poudel- Co-founder and ED of KULLBAS; Sunita Nheapukhi- Founder Member, Agrinepal.com, Board Member at Nepal Agriculture Machinery Entrepreneurs Association; Mr Kiran Timsina- Co-Founder, CTO of UG | Forbes 30 under 30 (2020): Class of Asia; Suman Krishna Shrestha- Business Development & Marketing Director, Pearson UK and Ankita Jain- Assistant Editor, Wow Magazine.
Hult Prize at Kathmandu University has been officially resumed from December 2021 as instructed by Hult Prize Foundation.
The winners of this event will be fast-tracked to compete at one of the 25+ Hult Prize Regional Finals happening around the world, bypassing the general application round which annually receives over 20,000 applicants from more than 350 colleges and universities in over 150 countries.
With a $1,000,000 global startup prize as its anchor activity, the Hult Prize has brought impact focused programmes, events, and training to over a million students globally, creating a pathway for youth everywhere to take action to build a better world.
