MAKAWANPUR: Bagmati Province Governor Yadav Chandra Sharma extended best wishes to all Nepali sisters on the occasion of the 112th International Women's Day today.
Giving a message of best wishes, Province Gov Sharma reminded that Article 38 of the Constitution of Nepal has provided that women have the right against torture, harassment, oppression and violence, gender discrimination and inhuman behaviour. The Constitution has also ensured women's dignified participation in State mechanisms.
The sustainable development goals (SDGs) forwarded by the UN has also mentioned gender equality and women's access to justice.
Similarly, Deputy Speaker of Bagmati Province, Radhika Tamang, issued a message of best wishes to all Nepali women living in the country and abroad. She wished peace, prosperity and happiness to all women on the occasion of the 112th International Women's Day.
She underscored time has come to change thoughts to implement the constitutional rights of women.
