KATHMANDU: Aloft Kathmandu Thamel empowered the Hatti Hatti annual event to commemorate International Women's Day on Saturday. This year's topic is #BreakTheBias, which encourages people to envisage a future devoid of bias, gender inequity, and stereotypes. Let's make sure we can take the essential actions to make the world a safer and more gender-equal place. Hatti Hatti is a Nepali non-profit organisation led by Priya Sigdel, a dedicated, passionate, and strong advocate for women's rights. Women from underserved communities are supported and educated by the organisation. They empower women by providing primary education and training tailoring and business skills to help them become self-sufficient entrepreneurs. The annual Hatti Hatti event was organised in the Courtyard at the Chhaya Devi Complex which showcased the handcrafted wares and native Nepali items of independent female artists, designers, entrepreneurs, and small business owners. A fashion show, a children's segment, an art zone, food vendors, and other activities were among the highlights of the event. Everyone was entertained by exciting music, wonderful food, and entrainment. The hotel also gave Hatti Hatti a laptop as a show of goodwill, demonstrating its commitment to women's education and skill development. "It is always a joy to support and collaborate with groups like Hatti Hatti to empower women and locally made products," stated Vikram Singh, General Manager at Aloft Kathmandu Thamel. This time, we want to challenge gender norms by proclaiming that this is not just the month, but also the year of women." Aloft Kathmandu Thamel is committed to providing a secure and bias-free environment for all of its employees. Both groups will continue to promote and celebrate women's achievements, untapped potential, and all of the opportunities that await them in the future. READ ALSO:
