Kumari Job partners with TLMN to promote employment opportunities for persons with disabilities

KATHMANDU: The memorandum of understanding (MoU) executed on February 23 was signed between Kumari Job and The Leprosy Mission Nepal (TLMN) to partner up in the different sets of activities including the promotion of employment opportunities for persons with disabilities in the formal job sector. The core motivation that led both parties to the signing of this agreement is based on the common interest of giving back to society by supporting persons with disabilities Speaking about the MoU, Sandesh Bhandari, Managing Director of Kumarijob.com said, "People with physical disabilities are equally mentally capable and, given the right opportunities, can perform just as well as other people. In Nepal, people with physical disabilities are still not given opportunities in the field of formal employment. Kumari Job has tried to send a message of positive change. And we are proud to be partnering with the Foundation Project for the same." He further added, " Kumari Job is keenly looking forward to taking further steps in the future in order to contribute more towards the employment sector in Nepal. This exemplary coalition will certainly reinforce the employment sector in Nepal by providing new sets of workforces i.e., persons with disabilities." FOUND Project (Fuelling Opportunities to end Unemployment for Nepalis with Disabilities), is implemented by  TLMN with consortium partners Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and National Federation for Disabled-Nepal (NFDN) to make a substantial contribution towards reducing the disability employment gap in Nepal.
