Hami Nepal donates over 400 blankets to Bir Hospital’s Covid unit

A A- A+
KATHMANDU: Hami Nepal, a youth-led non-profit organisation, donated more than 400 blankets to the Covid unit at Bir Hospital on Monday. The blankets were handed over in presence of the hospital's director, Dr Bhupendra Kumar Basnet. As part of the nationwide measures, Bir Hospital began developing the third and fourth floors of the Covid ward. They required blankets during the set-up and sent the non-profit organisation a letter requesting to provide 500 blankets. Hami Nepal responded to this request as the volunteers from the organisation also found a lack of warm blankets during take-care shifts at Bir Hospital. They noticed that the blankets provided by the hospital were insufficient to resist the cold and were of poor quality. As a result, patients were compelled to bring their own blankets. So, realising the importance of the situation, Hami Nepal, with the cooperation of its determined and diligent team, donated more than 400 blankets to Bir Hospital's new COVID unit. READ ALSO:
