A A- A+
KATHMANDU: The District Administration Offices of Kathmandu valley have issued an order to implement the odd and even rule for vehicles from midnight today. The vehicles with odd registration numbers will be allowed to ply the road on odd dates on the Nepali calendar. So do the vehicles with even registration numbers. The order has been issued as the cases of coronavirus infection along with the highly contagious omicron variant has surged recently. Acting Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Suprabha Khanal Dhungel, shared that an order has been issued to operate public and private vehicles including two-wheelers with odd registration numbers on odd days and even registration numbers on even days in three districts — Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur — of the Valley. The order also stipulates that public transport should not have more passengers than the seating capacity. All passengers have to wear masks, and sanitisers have to be provided at the door of the vehicle and inside the vehicle. Likewise, it is mentioned in the order that the head of the office will make proper management of the service flow in all the public and government bodies in the district. READ ALSO:
