KATHMANDU: The District Administration Offices of Kathmandu valley have issued 27-point order, effective from today, for the prevention of coronavirus infection.
The DAOs have issued the order as per the decision taken by the Council of Ministers on January 14, pursuant to Section 2 of Infectious Disease Act, 2020, and Sub Section 3 of Section 6 of Local Administration Act, 2028.
As per the order issued by the Chief District Officers (CDOs), actions will be taken against the institutions and individuals breaching and not adhering to the order as per the Infectious Disease Act, 2020.
Among the points included in the order are the prohibition of public assembly and gathering, permission to conduct only routine prayers at temples and religious sites till coming February 12 (end of Magh).
Likewise, all educational institutions have been barred from operating classes in the physical presence of students and teachers. All the teaching and learning activities have to be conducted through virtual or other alternative learning methods till January 21.
In case of urgent meeting, it has been ordered to hold such meeting in presence of no more than 25 persons adopting health protocols. Only those fully vaccinated will be allowed to attend such meetings after January 21.
Likewise, the service seekers are required to show vaccination cards with the full dose of inoculation to receive service from public agencies from January 21.
More than 25 people are not allowed to enter shopping malls and should maintain physical distance, the order stated. The DAO also asked the people to fully follow the health safety protocol. Similarly, cinema hall, dance bar, recreation centres (dance club and dohori), health club, gym house, swimming pool and futsal grounds have been ordered to shut down till January 29.
