KATHMANDU: The Federation of Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) is set to organise the 27th edition of CAN Info-Tech fair at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu from February 1 to 6.
Final preparations are underway for the festival, an annual event to showcase new technologies developed in the information, communication and technology sector as well as to hold interaction on preparing the strategy needed for the promotion of the ICT sector.
CAN Federation announced in a press conference today that this year's CAN Info-Tech festival will be held in a hybrid form — physically as well as virtually. Although the 27th edition of the festival was scheduled to be organised from May 11 to 16 this year, it had to be called off due to the second wave of Covid 19 pandemic.
Member organisations of CAN Federation, as well as various national and international companies related to ICT, will participate in the festival. Federation General Secretary Narayan Thapa said the entrepreneurs will be able to utilise the event as an opportunity to expand their business as well as the venue to exhibit the new technologies while the visitors as a forum to observe and purchase new devices related to ICT at a single spot.
The organisers have expressed their beliefs that the festival will be a special venue for those interested in ICT to acquire information on the new developments and practices in this sector.
Various stalls related to branding, ICT accessories, game parlour, product launching, start-up, robotics, emerging technologies, e-waste management, Wi-Fi, internet and learning centre will be kept in the CAN Info-Tech 2022.
