Lalu Prasad Agrawal elected Chair of Saptari Chamber of Commerce and Industry

RAJBIRAJ: Lalu Prasad Agrawal has been elected the Chairperson of Saptari Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He secured the post with 746 votes in the election held during the 11th general convention. Likewise, Ramesh Kumar Sah and Durga Nanda Prasad Sah were elected as vice-chairpersons while Amrit Kumar Sancheti won the election for the post of general secretary, the chief election commissioner Ram Kumar Yadav said. Similarly, Surendra Bimal won the election for the post of secretary while Pramod Kumar Kabra and Nirmal Mundhada were elected as the treasurer and joint treasurer, respectively. Other members elected to the executive committee are Santosh Sinha, Sachindra Das, Surendra Sah, Kamal Prasad Sah, Sanjaya Purbeli, Dilip Prasad Gupta and Ambika Dahal. Of the total 1,322 voters, 1,161 voters cast their votes to elect the new executive committee members in the 11th general convention. After Agrawal was elected chairperson, he said that the government should ensure subsidies to the business community for the economic prosperity in the country.
