KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is auctioning Treasury Bills worth Rs 6.1 billion today.
The 91-day treasury bills worth Rs 100 million will mature on February 8 while the 182-day bills worth Rs 6 billion will mature on May 10. The central bank issues treasury bills to mobilise short term loans for the government. The auction of the Treasury Bills opened online at 2:00 pm today, Rastriya Samachar Samiti reported. NRB categorised class 'A', 'B' and 'C' financial institutions, other financial institutions, non-banks and financial institutions can participate in the bidding. The bank will issue the bills to the highest bidders on Tuesday. Earlier on November 1, the central bank auctioned treasury bills worth Rs 1.66 billion. READ ALSO:
