KATHMANDU: Accountability Lab Nepal — a network of labs making governance work for people — is set to hold the Integrity Icon 2021 - Award Ceremony in Kathmandu, on Friday.
Integrity Icon Nepal is a national movement to celebrate, encourage and connect government officials that work with Integrity in Nepal.
The five winners, who have received huge public recognition and are promoted through nationwide online and offline campaigns, will be crowned as Nepal’s eighth batch of Integrity Icons at the ceremony.
Shila Sharma, a Nursing Officer at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, Banke; Dr Lok Bahadur Lopchan, Under Secretary Language Commission, Kathmandu; Manamaya Bhattari Pangeni, Nawalpur's Chief District Officer; Chandrakant Chaudhary, Agriculture Officer at Makwanpurgadhi Rural Municipality, Makwanpur; and Dr Sumitra Gautam, Medical Superintendent at Bhaktapur Hospital, Bhaktapur are the winners of Integrity Icon 2021.
The names of the winners of Integrity Icon Nepal 2021 were revealed through a Facebook Live event.
The upcoming award ceremony will be addressed by renowned scholars on integrity and public service followed by a networking event.
The passionate team from Accountability Lab Nepal has run a widely-supported Integrity Icon campaign annually since then and expanded its work in migrant rights and budget transparency through our Civic Action Teams.
The award ceremony will be held at Hotel Shanker, Lazimpat, Kathmandu, at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 29.
The ceremony function will be held maintaining health and safety measures.
