KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has arranged to administer the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine to the people who have received the first dose of the vaccine before eight weeks.
Acting on the District Level Vaccine Coordination and Monitoring Committee, Kathmandu's decision taken on Sunday, October 24, and Province Health Office, Kathmandu's directive issued, the KMC has arranged for the second dose vaccination programme for Wednesday, October 27.
Those who have received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine before eight weeks qualify to receive the second dose of the anti-COVID vaccine at various hospitals in Kathmandu. The KMC has further said that the booster dose of AstraZeneca will be administered at vaccination centres in all 32 wards of the metropolis on Wednesday.
Those seeking to receive the second dose of the vaccine have been urged to bring the vaccination card with a QR code and follow health safety protocols. The vaccines will be administered from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm tomorrow.
