KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is scheduled to embark on a four-day official visit to India from May 31.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Dahal is going to visit India at the cordial invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi from May 31 to June 3.
PM Dahal will be accompanied by ministers, secretaries and senior officials of the Government of Nepal.
During the India visit, PM Dahal will pay a courtesy call on Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. He will also hold delegation-level talks with India's Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House on June 1. Both prime ministers will organise a joint press conference after the meeting. The Indian prime minister will host a luncheon in honour of Nepal's prime minister and his delegation.
PM Dahal is also scheduled to address Nepal-India Business Summit that will be jointly organised by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Dahal will attend a welcome programme to be organised by Nepali Ambassador to India, Shankar Prasad Sharma, and hold a discussion with Nepali community.
PM Dahal is scheduled to visit Ujjain and Indore of Madhya Pradesh.
The prime minister's visit to India is expected to further strengthen the age-old, multifaceted cordial relations between the two countries.
