Implementing the Prosperity Roadmap: Role of Regional and International Cooperation

On 1 August, Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), organised an interactive programme on the prosperity agenda in the context of international cooperation along with the launch of Dr. Sambhu Ram Simkhada’s (Convenor of the CNI Eminent Persons’ Council) new book, Nepal, India, China: Relationship in the 21st Century. The book was launched by honourable Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada who was the chief guest of the event. The theme of the book outlines the notion that since China and India are emerging political and economic superpowers where does such geo-politics leave Nepal. Dr. Simkhada expressed, “The book signifies the importance of implementing the prosperity agenda and the important role of our two immediate neighbours”. The event kicked off with speeches by the honorable delegates followed by the signing of the MoU between CNI and the PHDCC of India for the establishment of the India-Nepal Center (INC). The MoU was signed in the presence of Foreign Minister Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gyawali. The event outlined the importance of the implementation of Prosperity Roadmap and how can it be achieved.
