NDL starts production of paracetamol

A A- A+
The government owned Nepal Drugs Ltd, revived a year ago, has started commercial production of paracetamol. It shut down eight years ago as it failed to adopt good manufacturing practices (GMP) set by the World Health Organisation. It resumed operations producing jeevenjal receiving financial aid from the Finance Ministry. Around 2,500 packets of Jeevan Jal are produced daily by NDL. It has also been manufacturing distilled water and glycerin. It plans to produce Albendazole soon. At some point in the past ND used to manufacture 120 types of allopathic drugs, which is currently under planning phase.
