Norvic launches advanced MRI and CT Scan facilities

Norvic International Hospital has launched state-of-art 3 Tesla MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and 128 slices CT (Computed Tomography) scanner to its existing diagnostic facilities. The new MRI and CT scan equipments were inaugurated by former Crown Princess Himani Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah at an event held on the hospital premises. 3 Tesla MRI is a first of its kind in the country with an in-bore audiovisual system. The new MRI ensures patient comfort and helps them overcome anxiety as patients can watch movies and videos of their choice. Unlike the general MRI system the irritating sound other MRI produces is reduced by 80% in this system. Likewise, radiation from X-rays is reduced to 80% in 128 slices CT scan along with other advanced features. Speaking at the program, Managing Director of Norvic, Megha Chaudhary shed light on the hospital expansion plans for the next five years. Dr Pankaj Jalan briefed about the features of MRI and CT scan equipments. The Norvic Privilege Debit Card to be operated jointly by the hospital and Laxmi Bank was also launched at the event.
