IPPAN criticizes government on unstable policies

Independent Power Producers Association Nepal has criticized the government on unstable state of policies which adversely hurt investments in the sector. They accused that ministries and agencies lack seriousness in facilitating investors.  This comes after the decision of the Ministry of Forest & Soil Conservation decided to additionally tax one percent on total profits generated by hydel projects as payment for eco system (PES) despite this being eliminated by the Cabinet according to the 10 year vision for national Energy Crisis Reduction and Electricity Development Decade.
