The Investment Board of Nepal has a project bank of 30-35 mega projects to showcase at the Investment Summit to be held in March in Kathmandu. The target is to attract over one billion dollars in foreign direct investment. The Summit expects to see 300 international visitors. At least 20 large scale investors are expected to apply for a minimum three Intents of Investment. The Ministry of Industry is planning on signing a Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement with at least one country. Potential investment sectors also include transport, manufacturing, mining, energy, ICT and infrastructure.
