Ncell supports reforestation, conservation activities

Ncell has taken the initiative to support reforestation and implement environmental awareness program in Dhanusha. The telecom has planted 50,000 trees in 33 hectares of the barren areas of Dhanushadhan Protected Forest (DPF). The company also implemented awareness programmes involving schools, teachers, parents and community members to make local communities cohabit and contribute in conservation. DPF was declared as a protected forest for its biological and historical importance in 2013. Issuing a statement, Dev Narayan Mandal, Chairman of the Mithila Wildlife Trust (MWT) said reforestation and awareness programmes by Ncell has been a good example in contributing to conservation. He also added that Ncell‘s support has not only been in reforestation but also in creating opportunities for locals for sustainable income.
