Dabur Nepal and TU sign MoU

Dabur Nepal recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central Department of Botany, Tribhuwan University to establish a fellowship programme offering scholarship to deserving full-time students for Ph.D. in medical and aromatic plants research. The fellowship programme (Late Sri Ashok Chand Burman Fellowship Programme on Ayurveda) has been instituted in the name of Dabur India Ltd‘s former Chairman Emeritus, Ashok Chand Burman. Dabur Nepal will provide about one million rupees to the Botany Department of Tribhuwan University for this Fellowship. The University will be responsible for giving the fellowship to a selected candidate as per their rules and regulations. "Considering the huge potential of medicinal and aromatic plants in Nepal, Dabur Nepal and Tribhuwan University have joined hands to launch this Ph.D. Fellowship and the scientific outcome of the research shall benefit multiple stakeholders, including farmers, students, academician and scientists working in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants in the Himalayan Kingdom," says the company press release.
