CIM, MMA, CNI Koshi Province to honour national cricket team

KATHMANDU: Chamber of Industries Morang (CIM), Morang Merchants' Association (MMA) and Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) Koshi Province are set to honour the national cricket team players, on Wednesday. A programme will be organised to honour the national team that won the ACC Men's Premier Cup and has qualified for the Asia Cup, read a statement jointly issued by three organisations. This is also an opportunity for Nepal to take pride in playing with countries like India and Pakistan which are successful in cricket. Along with honouring the national team, the players will also be paraded around the city at 11:45 am from Kanchanbari Airport mode to Roadshesh Chowk via Bargachhi, Tinpaini,  Main Road, and Traffic Chowk according to CIM executive member and former cricket player Paras Lunia. The organisers will jointly honour the members of the national team. Lunia said the three organisations have also planned to provide financial support for the health treatment of national team coach Abdul Satar. Meanwhile, the three organisations have urged everyone to welcome the national players from their respective places during the city parade organised in honour of the players who performed well in all qualifier matches of the ACC Cup glorifying the country's name in the international arena through cricket.
