Time is a concept

A A- A+

Look hard at your life. Are you doing what you‘d choose to be doing if you knew you had six months to live? If not, you‘d better begin doing it because relatively speaking, that‘s all you have. Given the eternity of time, thirty years or six months makes no difference. Your total lifetime is a mere speck. Delaying anything makes no sense. If you want the world to change, don‘t complain about it. Do something. Rather than using up your present moments with all kinds of immobilizing anxiety over what you are putting off, take charge of this nasty erroneous zone and live now! Be a doer, not a wisher, hoper or critic.

charu-chadha-tubmnailDr Wayne Dyer‘s words jumped at me across the screen… just what I needed to know today. The sky overcast and gray with rains just beginning outside my window, I was in a dark frame of mind. A particularly tough day! I was thinking about why we aren‘t able to get things done in Nepal. Why are things unnecessarily complicated and why despite best intentions, your efforts are almost always thwarted. Whether it is a legal issue, an official task or a civil matter, we tend to struggle with systems and approaches. Simple things like tax payments, billing systems, work integrity, meeting deadlines, license renewals come loaded with frustration. An extra buck can almost always ease a situation. Choose not the alternative route and you‘ll find yourself delayed and in complicated situations. If you overlook procrastination and poor work ethics, you stand a friend, if you take the person to task, you become the enemy. However hard you try, at some point or the other you are forced to conform, to succumb to a system of corruption or to look the other away and pretend it never happened. I question the government, the policy makers, the system – do we really believe that our nation can move ahead and progress with the way we are. And we are all a part of it, every single citizen whether we choose to or not. We are all contributing to this deluge of retrogression. If life is a mere speck… shouldn‘t we burn ourselves out fulfilling our highest potential, building a better world. Business 360 strives to focus on the positives of the entrepreneurial world, and we do it because we believe that inherently we are good, we are doers and achievers. We bring you stories of those who stand out not just because of who they are but because what they did left a mark in the progress of an entire nation. And every bit counts. Some are talked about, some remain silent heroes. We also question the things that go wrong, not to bring someone to task, but to find ways to do it better. Time is a concept… but if we measure it, we are running out, so being the best version of yourself is really not an option, it is how it should be. It would shape Nepal‘s destiny in an unimaginable journey of progress. sign[1]
