CBFIN calls for action against individuals, groups causing damage to BFIs’ reputation

KATHMANDU: The fourth meeting of the Executive Committee of Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal (CBFIN) decided to take action against any individual and group or organisation carrying out illegal activities against banks and financial institutions (BFIs). The meeting held last week on April 27 further urged all stakeholders of BFIs affiliated with it to unite and use the rights given by the prevailing law and take any strict measures for the protection of the rights and interests of all stakeholders. The CBFIN made such a decision to curb the illegal activities being carried out against BFIs and their employees. The umbrella organisation of commercial banks, development banks, and finance companies has vowed to take action against any individual, group or organisation causing damage to the reputation, dignity, trustworthiness or property of BFIs, creating obstacles in the banking business, and creating confusion in relation to BFIs.
