Facilitates your restaurant search Where is it – Jamal Founders – Sreesh Karmacharya, Sanam Chitrakar, Risav Shrestha and Rahul Chokhani (L to R) What is it – It is an online restaurant aggregator which helps you find the best restaurant in a particular area. https://www.scootout.com Walk a few meters into Thamel and Jhamsikhel and you’ll find yourself spoilt for choice in choosing a restaurant. Other areas are no different with most commercial and shopping areas mushrooming with restaurants every few feet away. Most often what you see is not what you get. A place may look inviting, the menu almost perfect but the food that turns up on your plate not quite palatable or vice versa. This is where Scootout.com comes in use as a service provider that helps you find eateries in different areas of Lalitpur and Kathmandu allowing you time and space to think before landing up with no plans. Scootout.com launched their website in February and they are now working on creating a list based on reviews even as they plan to expand the overall listing to include Dulikhel, Pokhara and Nagarkot. Rahul Chokhani, co-founder informs, “We are thinking of a new automated system which will automatically list all the information so that restaurants can themselves update their information.” The idea germinated while Chokhani was studying in Bangalore where he used Zomato to help find the best restaurants. He applied the same idea here in the form of scootout.com.
