NCCHK celebrates 15th anniversary

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong (NCCHK) celebrated its 15th anniversary at the Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui East, on June 28. NCCHK was unable to carry out any of its regular activities for the last three years due to Covid 19 pandemic. [gallery columns="4" link="file" size="full" ids="39105,39102,39101,39100,39099,39098,39082,39081"] NCCHK General Secretary Shashi Madan Rai welcomed all attendees and briefed them about the organisation's progress in his welcome speech at the event chaired by NCCHK President Lab Kumar Gurung. The program was jointly conducted by Soyena Dhakal and Sweta Pandey. The event was managed by NCCHK Secretary, Danny Bardan Gurung and the executive committee. The event was inaugurated by playing the National anthem of Nepal and Hong Kong. Deepmala Dhakal waved the flag of Nepal and while Rista Gurung and Sophia Gurung waved the flags of Hong Kong and China during the National Anthem. Ribbon cutting and cake cutting by the guests were followed sequentially. An 18-member delegation led by Pawan Kumar Prajapati, Chairman of Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nepal, attended the event upon the invitation from NCCHK. Chairman Prajapati expressed gratitude for inviting the representatives from Nepal and presented NCCHK with a token of love. The chief patron of NCCHK, Consul General of Nepal for Hong Kong and Macau, Uday Bahadur Rana Magar emphasized the importance of NCCHK to promote Hong Kong trade with Nepal. NCCHK President Lab Kumar Gurung concluded the programme. He said that Nepali business establishments in Hong Kong are in dire need of workers. "NCCHK will work with the Nepal and Hong Kong government to allow short-term workers from Nepal," he said. Miss Rista Gurung and Sophiya Gurung (of Divine Studio) presented a traditional Chinese-Nepali cultural dance.
