KASKI: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati has said that the government is preparing to bring new Tourism Act.
Inaugurating the first general convention of the Gandaki Province Hotel Association of Nepal in Pokhara on Saturday, Minister Kirati said the new Tourism Act will be contextual by revising several issues of the existing Act.
"We need to change the Tourism Act. I am working with the Tourism Act that was drafted before I was born," he said adding that the relevance of the Act was over.

On the occasion, he promised to visit Pokhara to solicit feedback from hoteliers and tourism business community for the drafting of the new Act.
Likewise, he shared that the Tourism Ministry was working to bring immediate plans and programmes based on the necessity, adding that Nepal's tourism products will be publicised in the international market with new themes.
Similarly, he hinted at branding and rebranding Pokhara's nature and culture for its promotion in the international market and earning foreign currencies.
Minister Kirati also asked the tourism entrepreneurs to deliver quality services.
