Samsung Nepal has launched new SUHD TVs with second generation Quantum Dot Technology for the first time in Nepal. Samsung had first launched the SUHD TV with Quantum Dot Technology in 2015, and this year, it has applied enhanced second generation technology to its new SUHD TVs. The newly launched models are 65KS9000 and 55KS9000, 65-inch and 55-inch respectively.
Design
The design of the SUHD TV is one of its best features. The design is very slim and sleek, and the TV looks stunning from every angle. The curved design of the TV create a panorama effect that gives an illusion of a bigger screen with an increased sense of immersion. Also, the curved design makes it possible to sit anywhere in the room with great viewing angle. Moreover, the near bezel-less design maximizes the immersive experience.
Picture Quality
Samsung has applied the ‘HDR 1,000’ technology in the SUHD TV models which expresses HDR with a peak brightness of 1,000 nit. Because of this, the new SUHD TV lineup can display content with extremely high picture quality of 1,000 nit brightness which is also the standard for premium content produced in Hollywood. Additionally, ‘HDR 1,000’ technology can recreate bright images that have the level of brightness up to 1,000 nit. This allows viewers to enjoy the content in great detail, whether the image is dark or bright.
The new 4K SUHD Intelligent Picture Engine delivers sharper contrast, with whiter whites, blacker blacks and more vibrant colours. The resolution of 3840*2160 delivers clear and highly detailed picture quality. Samsung has also improved its colour mapping algorithm and improved colour accuracy by 25 percent for the new SUHD TV models. The TVs are also power efficient, as they can recreate brighter colours with lower energy consumption than first generation SUHD TVs. The Ultra black panel, which reduces reflection that interferes with the TV viewing experience, also allows viewers to watch TV comfortably in any environment.
Smart Function
With the SUHD TVs, Samsung has brought a significant change to its Smart TV service, Smart Hub. The Smart Hub powered by the Tizen OS allows quick and easy navigation through content by integrating diverse content such as broadcasting programs, Internet video services and games as well as the default menu all on one screen.
The TVs come with a new customisable interface where users can put their favorite streaming apps, games and other contents right on the home screen. The system also knows what’s connected, from gaming consoles to streaming platforms. This means switching between inputs is simple and convenient. Using only the TV remote, users can control various surrounding devices such as set-top boxes, home theater systems, Blu-ray players and game consoles as well as TV, cable TV, Internet-based video services and more. This eliminates the inconvenience of having to use a different remote for each device.
