Peace rally organised on 2567th Buddha Jayanti in Lumbini

A peace rally was organised in Lumbini on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, the 2567th birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha, this morning. Lumbini Development Trust (LDT) organised a programme to mark Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day 2080. On the occasion, LDT invited Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and other special personalities to Lumbini. Before the formal ceremony, a religious worship took place followed by a peace procession from Gate No. 5 through Mayadevi Temple to the conference centre. President of Lumbini Development Fund and Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati, Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, members of the House of Representatives, members of the Provincial Assembly, heads of local governments, diplomatic missions, and foreign guests have participated in the special ceremony.
