KATHMANDU: Honorary Consul General of Italy for Nepal, Pratima Rana Pande, has been conferred the title of Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia (Order of the Star of Italy).

Photo: B360[/caption] Ambassador of Italy to India, Vincenzo de Luca, who is also Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Nepal, conferred the honour on Pande amid a function organised in Kathmandu on October 22. The title 'Order of the Star of Italy' qualifies as a second civilian honour of the state and represents a particular honour on behalf of all those, Italians abroad or foreigners, who have acquired special merit in the promotion of friendly relations and cooperation between Italy and other countries.
