Yeti Airlines aircraft carrying 68 passengers crashes in Pokhara

KATHMANDU: An aircraft of Yeti Airlines carrying 68 passengers crashed in Pokhara Metropolitan City, Kaski district this morning. The aircraft of Yeti Airlines took off for Pokhara from Kathmandu at 10:30 am. The 9N-ANC ATR-72 aircraft carrying 68 passengers, two pilots and two air hostesses crashed in the gorge of Seti River between the old and new airports while it was landing, according to Yeti Airlines Spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula. Kaski's Chief District Officer (CDO) Tek Bahadur KC said the hospital and ambulances have been directed to keep everything prepared for handling the situation. Further details of the incident are awaited.
